These early experiences ignited her fascination of personal identity in displacement, home and memory which are the core themes of her work. She spends much of her time collecting and documenting experiences, ideas, and techniques.

Charissa’s work features process based making and includes glass and textiles. Her work extends also into drawing and installation of site-specific work.

She has spent time in Canada, Australia, Scotland and the United States honing her craft.

She graduated from the Alberta College of Art + Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in Glass in 2013, and is an independent artist and educator based in Calgary.
